February 26-27, 2021
Due to COVID-19, we are facing an unprecedented environmental challenge that impacts nearly every aspect of our lives. It has also impacted this year’s “Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature” Environmental Film Festival.
Still, we are excited to offer the festival, now in its twenty-second year, in a more intimate, hybrid format. This year, due to restrictions on campus, we will not be able to hold the festival in the usual manner. Instead we have planned a new version of the festival that will engage both our on-campus and wider community.
- The festival will begin with an outdoor screening on campus, on Friday, February 26, available to students, staff and faculty.
- We will also be hosting a free online screening during the festival that will be available here online and that we’ll link to on the festival’s Facebook page.
- On Saturday, Feb. 27, we’ll host an online Zoom session connected with the online film, during which one of our faculty will introduce the film and lead a discussion.
All films are free. This year’s hybrid format will take place online for the public as well as in-person for the Eckerd College community.
